• salt and pepper to lightly coat steaks (pre-cook)

• 3 tablespoons soy sauce

• 1 teaspoon sugar

• 1/4 teaspoon Korean red pepper flakes

• 1/2 cup beef broth

• 1 teaspoon sesame oil

• 1 green onion, chopped

• 3 garlic cloves, minced

The Method

Step 1

Mix soy sauce, sugar, Korean pepper flakes, and beef broth. Set aside.

Step 2

Heat a large pan to med-high and lightly coat with cooking spray.

Step 3

Moderately season the tuna steaks with salt and pepper. Add to the hot pan. Cook 1-2 minutes on each side for a medium rare.

Step 4

Take tuna out and let rest on a cooking board.

Step 5

Reduce heat to low-med and add sesame oil, green onion, and garlic. Stir constiently for 1-2 minutes.

Step 6

Add soy mixture from step 1 and simmer for approximately 5-7 minutes or until it has reduced down slightly.

Step 7

Cut tuna into slices, dip them in the sauce, and enjoy!
