The Ingredients

• 1 lb Lump Crabmeat

cooking spray (or butter)

• 1 large egg

• 1 egg yolk

• 1 tablespoon lemon juice

• 2 garlic cloves, grated

• 2 teaspoon mustard powder

• 1/2 teaspoon paprika

• 1/2 teaspoon salt

• 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

• 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

• 1 tablespoon parsley

• 1/3 cup red onion, chopped

• 1/3 cup green bell pepper, chopped

• 4 tablespoons Panko breadcrumbs

The Method

Step 1

In a medium bowl, whisk the egg, yolk, lemon juice, garlic, mustard powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, and cayenne. Stir in bell pepper, red onion, and parsley. Fold in crab meat and panko, being careful not to break apart the crab too much.

Step 2

Divide mixture into 5 even patties about 1 inch thick. Place on parchment paper and/or baking sheet and place in the freezer for 10-15 minutes. (See notes below if you decide to freeze completely.)

Step 3

Spray a little cooking spray or add butter into a skillet over med-high heat. Cook until golden brown and cooked through. Approximately 2-3 minutes each side.

Step 4

Serve with your favorite sauce. We concocted a dill tartar sauce with fat free greek yogurt to keep this recipe healthy and delishious.

Notes

1. If frozen completely, air fry at 390F for 12-15 minutes. For stovetop, cook in skillet on low/medium covered for 6 minutes. Flip, cook an additional 3 minutes covered. Uncover and continue to cook for 2-3 more minutes.
