The Ingredients

4 boneless salmon fillets

2 tbsp unsalted butter - melted

2 cloves minced garlic

2 tbsp brown sugar

1 tbsp of your favorite salt free seasoning blend (Our favorite salt free seasoning blend has onion powder, garlic powder, and dried pineapple and mango)

¼ tsp salt

¼ tsp pepper

1 lemon sliced into wheels

The Method

Step 1

Line a baking tray with foil or a silicon mat. Place the salmon fillets, skin-side-down on the baking tray. (If skin is removed, any side will do.)

Step 2

In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, brown sugar, salt free seasoning bkend of choice, salt, and pepper. Pour the butter and seasoned brown sugar mixture over the salmon fillets. Arrange the lemon wedges on and around the salmon.

Step 3

Place in a COLD OVEN and set the temperature to 400° F. This let's the salmon slowly come to temperature and not cook it too quickly. Bake for 8 minutes.

Step 4

After 8 minutes, open the oven, flip the salmon to the other side, and baste the salmon with any of the sauce that has dripped to the side of the salmon on the tray. Bake for a further 4-7 minutes until the salmon is tender.

Step 5

If you keep the skin on, broil an additional 1 to 2 minutes to caramelize the skin, but watch to not burn.
